Description

The individual will be responsible for Troubleshooting, installation and maintenance of communications systems and is the primary technical support. This position is critical to Internal Operations and consists of working on Cisco VoIP systems, ie Call Manager, Unity Messaging & Meeting Place Conferencing, Router Gateways and Campus Switches.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Administer Voice Communication Systems
  • Analyze performance of various communications related service calls
  • Analyze entire communications system to determine hardware/cable related problems
  • Perform end user equipment and connectivity installs, relocations and moves to include voice mail and communications hardware
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization
  • Maintain system software upgrades and patches
  • Replace malfunctioning or inoperative equipment

Requirements:

  • 4 years of Cisco VoIP hands-on experience, eg, Call Manager and Unity implementation and support
  • 5 years experience troubleshooting  in the VoIP environment
  • 3 years experience with PSTN
  • Certification or equivalent work experience with CCVP
  • Certification or equivalent work experience with IPCC, Enterprise
  • Strong knowledge of H323, SCCP, MGCP, SIP, TFTP, DHCP, TCT/IP, HRSP, ISDN Q931, HDLC, EIGRP protocols
  • Strong knowledge of Routers, Switches and gateways
  • Working knowledge of Windows Servers and Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of Firewalls and ACLs
