Cisco Network Support Engineer
6 month contract
Dublin
We currently have a requirement for a 6 month contract based in Dublin for a mid-level Network Engineer with 4-6 years' experience.
Experience in the following is desired
Maintain and update network documentation, network drawings and plans.
Must be comfortable directly interacting with customers to resolve issues promptly
Proven experience in the areas of Cisco Nexus 7k, 5k and 2k, Internet routing and load balancing
Must have hands-on experience configuring Routers, Switches, load-balancers etc
Must have hands-on experience with the following Firewalls: Cisco ASA, Juniper, Check Point
Must have proficient knowledge of common routing protocols, including but not limited to OSPF, EIGRP, IGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP v1, RIP v2 and MPLS.
Prior experience with managing Spanning-tree, HSRP, and VRR
Solid understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols
Knowledge of all common Layer 7 protocols, including Telnet, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, NTP, and DNS
Solid understanding of HA protocols and network-based Data Center failover techniques
Prior experience with network security
Must have experience with enterprise wireless solutions
There will be an on call roster system for this contract and travel between customer sites is likely so if you have a full drivers license this is an additional plus.
