Communications Manager with strong editorial and proof-reading experience required for initial 3 month contract with public sector organisation in Edinburgh.

You will be required to develop consistent narratives/key messages, along with associated visuals, graphics, diagrams and case studies. This will include consideration of how materials and information could be adapted to meet a range of communications activities, including speaking opportunities, newsletters and the website.

Duties will include:

  • Analyse current communication methods
  • Develop communication narratives including graphic designs across policy areas and change programmes to facilitate understanding of the programme approach
  • Monitor and assess project/programme progression including milestone reviews
  • Prepare written guidance and delivery workshops for colleagues to develop skills/capacity to maintain/develop new narratives

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive editorial and proof reading experience
  • Ability to digest large amounts of information and distil it into clear, concise and easily understandable language
  • Track record of working to tight deadlines
  • It would be highly desirable if you had a recognised qualification from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations

Candidates will be required to either already hold a valid Disclosure Scotland certificate or be willing and able to apply for one prior to CV submittal to the client.
