Description
We are working with a highly sought Government organisation to source 4 x System Administrators.
DUTIES:
- Provide 3rd level support services in one or more of the following: HP/DELL Servers, virtualization(VMWare), AD management (including DNS, DHCP and Group policy), HDS SAN's, CommVault backup, Exchange, SCCM Administration, SCOM Administration, Application packaging, infrastructure Scripting, Thin Client (Citrix, VMware) technologies.
- Provide technical advice as required on the hardware and software configuration within the organisation's SOE.
- Participate in design, development, testing, deployment and support of IT infrastructure.
- Develop and implement changes to departmental systems strictly in accordance with departmental change control procedures.
- Ensure that the tasks and progressive action history are duly recorded and concluded to the client's satisfaction.
- Transfer skills, provide documentation and exchange information on all relevant aspects of infrastructure, software development and support.
- Participate fully in the project management process and endeavour to achieve client outcomes in the most effective way.
- Maintain data and office security and system integrity in accordance with Departmental Security Instructions.
- Participate with out of hours support. Some overseas travel may be required as part of this role.
- Provide assistance in administration for Training and Developments domains.
- Undertake duties as required
SKILLS:
- Extensive understanding and ability with at least two technology platforms (HP/DELL Servers, virtualization(VMWare), AD management, HDS SAN's, CommVault backup, Exchange, SCCM Administration, SCOM Administration, Application packaging, infrastructure Scripting, Thin Client (Citrix, VMware) technologies.
- Strong understanding of Clustering, SMTP, Routing, TCP/IP.
- Understanding of Java and PowerShell an advantage.
- Proven critical thinking and strong problem solving skills required.
Due to the nature of this organisation, you must be an Australian citizen with an NV1 security clearance to be considered.
