FAIR's Engineer/Quality Engineer
The Client: Leading Aerospace Engine Control Design and Manufacture
The Role:Fairs Engineer 12 month contract
The Rate: £24-£28
The Location: Birmingham
Fairs Engineer Description:
Your potential client provides full authority digital electronic and Hydro Mechanical control systems for aero gas turbine engines. This company provides electronics, Embedded software, fuel pumps, fuel metering valves, and fuel driven actuators to leading aero engine makers.
Job Purpose:
To carry out Full, Partial and Delta First Article Inspection Reports to aerospace AS9102 standards.
Key accountability's:
*Produce the FAIR documentation to AS9102 standard for all product types
(Prismatic, Piston and Sleeve, Bearings, Piston Jacks).
*Measure all features using available metrology equipment in order to complete the FAIR (including automated equipment CMM, etc)
*Obtain all validation documentation from other areas of the business to complete the FAIR (Certificate of Conformance, etc)
*Verify and Validate FAIR in order to qualify product.
*Identify and report discovered non-conformance and work with the engineering team to provide a solution.
*Maintain metrics records and non-conformance trackers
Key Experiences & any Qualifications:
*Knowledge of Visual FAIR from ipi-solutions
*1 years direct experience in producing FAIRs
*A comprehensive understanding of AS9102
*3 years direct experience in supporting the manufacture of high precision engineered components in the aerospace or similar industry.
*A comprehensive understanding of the HS&E risks, and risk assessment techniques, associated with manufacturing, assembly and process areas.
*Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
*Ability to perform data manipulation and presentation into a suitable format dependent on the
