Description
The Engineer is responsible for working directly with customers, the internal development organization, sales/FAEs and other members of the Applications Engineering team. In this capacity, it is the direct responsibility of this individual to provide technical support, applications know how and training to use our microprocessor development tools.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide in-depth support for various software development tools, specifically Xtensa C/C++ compiler, linker and assembler
- Become an expert and provide guidance on writing, profiling, analyzing and optimizing software for processors
- Provide customer training on processors with emphasis on subjects related to developing and optimizing software on processors
- Provide quality solutions to customer issues in timely manner
REQUIREMENTS:
- In-depth understanding of computer architecture/RISC processors/DSPs
- Hands-on experience in embedded systems software and firmware development, optimization and debugging
- In-depth working knowledge of embedded software development tools including compiler, assembler and debugger
- Good Working knowledge of assembly-level programming, interrupt and exception handling and Linker support is a plus
- Experience in development or testing of any of the development tools like compiler, assembler is a plus
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good problem solving skills.
- Able to travel 2 to 6-weeks per year in US and worldwide
- BS in EE/CS (MS preferred) or equivalent plus 5 years of work experience.
