Senior Java Developer
My client a major insurance provider are looking for a senior Java engineer who can hit the ground running and who has a track record of working on complex projects that require both depth and breadth of knowledge in a range of technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Leading planning sessions with the business users to analyze business requirements and provide design recommendations
- Providing direction in evaluating the system integration design.
- Participating on and providing leadership (technical or project) to project team.
Technical skills:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Object Oriented (OOP) languages
- 4 years'+ experience with Java Enterprise (EE/J2EE) with Spring dependency injection, Spring Web Flow, Spring MVC, Hibernate, POJO's.
- Has extensive experience with Agile/Scrum
- Familiarity with the following: IIS, JC Connect, Tomcat, SQL, Mule, SOAP and TCP.
- Web development skills that include JSP, JQuery, Scriptalicious and Ajax.
- Capable of writing technical specifications.
- Knowledge of the general insurance business is an advantage.
