Description
This high profile and pivotal role forms part of the recently created council Procurement Service, which is a key component in the transformation of how the council procures and pays for the goods and services it needs. You will be joining a dynamic environment and helping to ensure the service delivers the transformation required.
We are looking for an individual who can use their expertise, energy and commitment to address a number of concurrent challenges (including collective and individual performance levels, inefficient and manual processes, corporate non-compliance, in-flight improvement initiatives). You should have a track record of delivering change and realising benefits in a complex environment.
Reporting to the Head of the Service, the post holder is responsible for the management and performance of the Projects and Data team, the Accounts Payable & Reconciliations team, and the Helpdesk, through 3 direct reports (a total team size of 33).
