Code Red Associates are a specialist supplier of resource to the public sector, local authority & social housing sectors. We are currently looking for an experienced Rent Collection/Recovery Officer to work on an initial 3 month contract basis for a respected organisation with offices in Central London.

The main purpose of the role will be to recuperate any overdue council tax or business rates and help to set up appropriate arrangement for those tenants who are behind on their payments. You will also be dealing with customer account queries; documentation of procedures in relation to recovery; and housekeeping with the Revenues and Benefits system.

Essential skills and experience for this role include a successful track record in dealing with debt recovery, the related legislations and the associated systems. It would be extremely beneficial to have experience of Housing rents, benefit overpayment, Council tax or Business rates. Experience with revenue and benefit software (such as Northgate/iWorld, Capita Academy, IBS/Civica OPENRevenues, Pericles etc.) is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator who is able to take appropriate action without hesitation.
