Essential skills/experience required:
Ideally possess 6 + years experience designing, implementing and scaling high traffic web applications and web services.
Experience of web development using the following stack:
Server Side Java/JEE
HTTP
XML
JSON
Soap or restful web services
Document, object or relational databases
Linux or Mac OSX operating systems
Proficient with standard technical practices including unit testing, version control, continuous integration, coding standards, design patterns and refactoring.
Role:
To be instrumental in the successful design and implementation of web applications, web API's and other components. Contribute to the design and implementation of robust, scalable, open and secure web front-ends ensuring delivery to the highest standard.
Collaborate with delivery teams and partners to break technical requirements down into appropriate pieces and to identify key API requirements for integration with internal and external systems.
Implement web API's using RESTful principles that are usable, performant and forwards compatible. Contribute to the development of new features and products.
