Storage Team Leader contractor is required for our client a global organisation based in the Midlands.

Leadership of the Storage Run (BAU) team that performs
(i) installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring and maintenance of SAN storage and associated software,
(ii) management of backups/restores and data replication processes.
Line management of Storage Analysts.
- Reviews capacity, performance, availability and other operational metrics and takes appropriate action to ensure corrective and proactive maintenance of storage and backup systems to support the requirement to protect business information.
- Controls and documents the reporting, investigation and outcome of all defects and problems reported within the storage, backup and recovery environments. Ensures that necessary data is available for use by those carrying out investigations and ensuing actions.
- Highlights areas for improvement of storage and recoveryservices, making recommendations where appropriate that consider all on-site and off-site options.
- Maintains effective relationships with relevant third party suppliers.
Attends periodic Disaster Recovery tests and actions
(i) the recovery of data and
(ii) troubleshooting and follow-up of recovery issues.
Specific Responsibilities:
Ensures that all SAN storage and backup/restore services are available and performing in line with agreed service levels.
- Applies required maintenance to all storage and backup products ensuring that all are in support.
- Manages problems, incidents, and changes.
