Description
The functional analyst ensures that:
- Analysis of the requirements by collecting, analysing data as specified by the business, users. Those requirements are functional and non-functional requirements.
- Carried out activities under supervision of the project manager.
- Understand the customer billing & the taxes related to financial instruments (Buy and sell of financial instruments, Corporate actions, custody fees, ). Formulating a functional design of the solution that meets business, users, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Map the billing rules and taxes in a new rule engine.
- Regular meetings with staff from IT and the business (project manager, architects, developers, application leader, ) intended to exchange information, persuade and argue and explain the reasons behind the solutions.
- Perform impact analysis with the help of the application owners in order to determine the workload of the solution or to assess the solution.
- Support users during the roll-out phase of the project or release in the assimilation of the changes.
- Verifies the integration of the proposed solutions into the existing landscape.
- Conveys functional specifications to other IT professionals, enabling their translation into IT solutions.
- Develop and/or update documentation of the solutions, the implementation process, functional analyses and functional project choice.
- Make sure that new parallel projects can implement the solution within their framework.
- Participate together with the partners in the verification and validation of the solution via the testing. The tests cases definition will be also a help the analyst has to help.
