The South West Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) is one of 14 local organizations that have been created in Ontario to plan, coordinate and fund local health services including hospitals, community care access centres (CCACs), long-term care homes, community health centres (CHCs), community support service agencies and mental health and addictions agencies. eHealth Specialist

The eHealth Specialist will perform as an integral member of the LHIN's eHealth team and assist the overall LHIN team in achieving the strategic and business objectives in transforming the system. The LHIN provides leadership in the design, development and execution of strategic plans based on key stakeholder inputs that drive key business objectives. The position will provide expertise and support for the strategic plan to assist LHIN leaders and health service provider partners advance provincial, cluster and local LHIN change efforts.  Responsibilities will require the individual to maintaining solid and mutually beneficial business relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders, interface with management on the technology enablers that advance our strategic initiatives, support program and project needs of teams and contribute to the overall assessment of the value for money framework.  

Qualifications:

  • You have demonstrated knowledge of the Ontario health care system, stakeholders, programs and issues and knowledge of the healthcare technology marketplace and trends.
  • You have knowledge of project/program management theories, principles, best practices, tools, performance indicators and methodologies and strong project management skills.
  • You have experience in an eHealth environment and experience aligning technology solutions in support of key clinical and health system integration business processes.
  • You have the demonstrated ability to work effectively in multiple, concurrent teams and foster collaborative working relationships with multiple partners.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and analytical, evaluation and problem solving skills.
  • You have demonstrated advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (eg Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).
  • You have a university degree or three-year college diploma in information technology, computer science or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • You have demonstrated clinical background experience, experience in a health care technology environment, experience in business process mapping, analysis and quality improvement and/or experience with Microsoft SharePoint collaboration tools would be assets.
  • Proficiency in French is an asset.
