Creative studio based in Hertfordshire are looking for a French/English speaking Graphic Designer with some Client Management skills to work with their client based in Paris. This position is for 6 months on a freelance basis with the potential to going perm. You will be working across blue chip accounts designing a wide range of corp marketing documentation including leaflets, posters, brochures, advertising and presentations.
The role requires:
French/English speaking Creative Designer, with some Project and Client Management skills, and the ability to work as part of a virtual team and managing the work requests coming from a client in Paris. There will be supported on site in Paris by an Account Manager, but in the long term we need the Designer to build up a good relationship with the client so they can take the briefs direct.
We are hoping to full this role with a keen person who can help to build a good account.
The Designer is responsible for the development of creative design that emanates from the studio. As an experienced and skilled member of the team they will also have well-developed design skills. They will be able to handle tasks delegated to them by the Design Manager or Project Manager with minimal hand-over. Working closely with the Design Manager, they will be expected:
- To advise the client on the best solutions to their visual communication needs
- To create, design and implement these solutions
- To support and collaborate with both internal and external resources
- To provide direction and guidance to members of staff
- Must be French speaking as the client is based in Paris.
Skillset:
- Design experience 4 years plus
- Ability to develop team members and support staff with creative and technical expertise
- Ability to discuss creative portfolio that demonstrates a capacity to solve problems conceptually. Should also be able to talk through work confidently
- Excellent Mac computer and software, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Excellent working knowledge of production cycle and print technology.
- Understanding of print and imaging processes and knowledge of their limitations
- Extremely client-focused, with a positive attitude as well as excellent 'people skills'. Able to negotiate effectively and communicate on all levels
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to work with several people on several projects at once
- Good knowledge of different media applications, ie print, web and multimedia.
