Internal Communications Manager - Stakeholder Management - Internal Communication - Delivery and Planning
Our public sector client requires an Internal Communications Manager to join their team in Coventry for an initial contract of 3 months. The Communications Manager's prime responsibility is to provide a full range of communication functions to ensure that the project delivers the required standard of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost.
Key Responsibilities- Supports the project team with any communications required and prepare a detail communication plan covering 2014 and 2015
- Work with Academies stakeholders groups to align communications across the sector
- Manages the project risk and issues associated with communications, including monitoring the progress of mitigation measures and action dates
- Prepares and reports to the Project Lead and Project Board through Highlight Reports for the communications work stream
- Liaises with the Project Lead and Project Board to assure the overall direction and integrity of the communications plan
Required Skills
- Delivery focused with the ability to work in a public sector governance environment is essential
- Excellent understanding of communications methodologies
- Good customer relationship and strong communication skills and possesses the ability to facilitate meetings and deliver informative and well-organised presentations
- Ability to find innovative ways of solving or pre-empting problems
- Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling communications, including risk and issue management
