Description

Symphonic Solutions Ltd (www.sphonic.com) is a disruptive technology company that leverages functional paradigms to enable engineered innovation.

In real terms, we build high performance, low latency platforms that integrate to a plethora of third party API’s and apply intelligent manipulation and analysis to the data via a DSL. We help turn ‘Big Data’ into ‘Useful Information’.

We’re looking for an experienced SCRUM Master who understand and thrives on the challenge that is herding cats. We have a small team of highly motivated Engineers who are used to agile methods of working. We currently employ Scrum and Kanban and we need someone to formalise and take responsibility for the details as we grow. You should have experience in estimating as well as effectively running sprint planning meetings. You should be used to working with tight timelines and pushing back both internally and externally. You will be the company authority on these ways of working and you'll be expected to provide leadership on these topics to the head of engineering and CTO to ensure the business thrives in a lean manner.

We expect that you are responsible and comfortable with working from home. We have a London office based near Edgware Road station to which you will be expected attend at least twice a month. During the early phases of engineering design some time in the office will be a necessity however and you should be comfortable about that.

Our team works mostly from home so you must be able to hold online stand-ups and know how to motivate and co-ordinate teams. There is a great deal of autonomy afforded to our Engineering teams and it will be your job to ensure that the freedom of experimentation is tightly aligned to the deliverables.
