Our client is a leading Australian bank with offices in multiple locations in Australia as well as having satellite offices in most major finance hubs globally. They have a reputation for innovation, great working conditions and providing long term rewarding careers. Due to a the launch of a new payments platform there is a requirement for an SDM to deliver a new reporting module within this product suite.
This position sits within a group program management area responsible for the key projects within the bank. The team is highly skilled and employs multiple project management methodologies to successfully manage one of the largest portfolios in the country, across applications, payments and infrastructure.
This role is the glue between the project management team, software development team and vendor relationships to ensure effective delivery of the platform along the desired timelines. To do this you will draw on your exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills to work with all teams to drive the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) against the business requirement. This is an initial 6m contract on a 1yr+ body of work, so there are plenty of options to extend, go permanent of move internally within the bank.
Requirements of the role:
- 3+ years of Software Development/Solution Delivery/Project management experience
- Thorough understanding of the SDLC
- Financial Services Experience Essential - Ideally Payments area
- Proven experience managing multiple vendors
- A deep understanding of governance, forecasting & budgeting
- Outstanding communication skills
- Portfolio Management experience or qualifications are desirable
- Track Record in the delivery of applications in Finance
- Innovative approach to the utilization of resources
- Full working rights for Australia
