Description
Lead design collaboration for light fabrications and enclosures (sheet metal & non-metallic) to assure requirements are met for the North American market. Support development with Suppliers, Global Purchasing, and Manufacturing. Support New Product Introduction, Advanced Quality Product Planning, Continuous Product Improvement, engineering changes, quality deviations, and cost management.SKILLS:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required. Eight to ten years engineering experience required.
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
- Team player and detail oriented.
- Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
- Must be willing to visit the shop regularly to address manufacturing/assembly issues.
- Black Belt Training, Advanced Quality Product Planning experience, direct work experience with fabrication operations and processes in the shop/factory, sheet metal and/or non-metallic manufacturing processes are highly desired.
