My client a world leading global FMCG company are looking for a Communications Executive to join their London office. This is an 8 month contract position. The ideal candidate will have experience in Digital, Creative Writing and Collecting Content.

Background and Main Job Purpose:

As a member of the Global Communications team, the Communications Executive will be asked to lead and contribute to key initiatives and projects to support both the Global Category Communications team and the Global Communications function agendas.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone creative, proactive, organised and efficient with excellent written communications skills. We're seeking someone with a nose for a news story and a flair for the digital arena who is also equally happy rolling up their sleeves to support the team with achieving objectives.

Key Skills:

* Writing and collecting content for two bi-weekly newsletters eg stories, adverts, images, movies, presentations, etc.
* Expert in converting facts into a great story that can engage internal and external audiences.
* Devising a strategy to drive traffic to the channels and monitoring its performance with regular analytics reviews (in consultation with the Global Digital Channels team on digital guidelines and best practice)
* Building an extensive archive - including the latest logos, pack shots, images, advertising and movies.
* Acting as the team's digital expert and advising on the best use of external social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter and internal platforms such as Chatter from a communications perspective
* Informing the team of any relevant issues arising in the digital space - both internally and externally
* Good understanding of (social) media and channels and knowing how to write for internal and external audiences
* Excellent in storytelling (written skills are outstanding) and in making complicated information simple and engaging for a wide variety of audiences
* Channel management: Knows how to build, maintain and evaluate external and internal channels including social media
* Communications generalist, Team player. Keeps a balance between personal accountability and delivery through team work

Experience

* A minimum of 3 year's experience in a Digital or Communications role, preferably within an (PR) agency
* Proven excellent writing skills in a business environment
* Experience of developing and delivering creative, impactful communication materials
* Thorough understanding and experience of interactive internal communication channels eg Chatter and SharePoint and external social media platforms such as Facebook and twitter
