A Global Renewable Energy client is looking for Quality Control Inspector to work on the construction of an offshore wind farm project in the North East UK. This role will start immediately on a 6 months' contract with the possibility of extensions.
The role is to support the existing QC Inspector (WTG) and work in close collaboration with the existing QC team. The task will be to conduct offshore post 72hr test-run inspections required to ensure the quality of the equipment and works provided by the Principal Contractor and subcontractors on the WTG supply and install package as directed by the Quality Control Engineer (WTG) and possibly on other packages as directed by the Project Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:
Conduct quality inspections and identify non-conformances
Write inspection reports
Log quality defects, expedite their remediation and eventual close-out
Review and comment on AS Built Record Packs and other quality related documentation submitted by the contractor and their subcontractors in liaison with the appropriate package engineers
Expedite required quality documentation that is not forthcoming
Monitor progress of works
Attend the contractors and their subcontractors works to carry out inspection and surveillance (these may be at locations outside the UK)
Report on progress to the Quality Control Engineer (WTG) and WTG Package Managers

Education:
Personal Survival Training PST)
First Aid at Work Training (either HSE Approved or compliant with RenewableUK Guidelines STCW-95)
Work at Heights and Rescue Training - Wind Turbine Standard
Experience working in similar QC capacity.
Experience work offshore
Experience of high voltage electrical engineering to 33kV
Experience in an electromechanical engineering discipline
