Description
Large, Atlanta-based company has an immediate need for a Senior C# .NET Software Developer for a 12-month contract. In this role, you will work on a dev team of 5 with an Architect. Primary skills needed include C# .Net, Web Services, WCF, experience writing SQL statements and stored procedures, and full SDLC experience. You will work on a flagship, mission-critical application that will be released within two phases over the next 12 months.
This is a multi-billion dollar company with ample opportunity to move into other groups in the future. Very stable employment, good pay, and a fun work environment. This is a true hands-on, senior role who will be asked to mentor and assist junior Developers as well.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements and design, code, test, install and maintain application systems and programs.
- Gather requirements data from stakeholders and constituencies
- Prepare technical design options; Develop, document and present design solutions and alternatives
- Design/develop system, application and program code according to business and technical requirements - Identify and validate software and infrastructure components required to implement technical solutions
- Identify and validate solution objects, functions, interfaces, dependencies, and integration points
- Prepare design documentation and participate in design reviews
- Translate designs into specs for required infrastructure and application software components
- Participate in quality assurance and testing to achieve quality objectives - review established quality requirements and measurement metrics
- Apply selected testing tools and techniques
- Perform tech support activities and defect correction that maintains/enhances application integrity
- Evaluate outcomes, report results and document findings according to current standards
- Implement solutions - Adhere to change management requirements for application and system implementations.
Requirements:
- 6+ years C# .NET software development and 3+ years WCF.
- 4+ years experience writing SQL statements and stored procedures -- Strong SQL Server (ideally 2008 sR2).
- Must have strong experience with C# .NET developing enterprise applications that utilize web services.
- Full software development life cycle experience.
- Distributed applications, multi-threaded, WCF. Design methodologies and techniques and/or distributed design tools such as the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and use of other tools supporting OOAD.
