Description
We require a Senior SQL Server DBA who has excellent Oracle DBA skills too for a 6 month contract role based on a client site in London to start ASAP.
If you possessed the SQL Server MCSA/MCITP and Oracle OCP Certifications that would be highly advantageous.
Essential skills/experience required:
SQL Server 2012, 2008 R2, 2000
SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery
SSIS, SSRS, and T-SQL
Experience with Windows Server 2012, 2008 R2, and 2003
Powershell Scripting
Oracle Database 11g R2, 10g, RAC, Grid Infrastructure, and Data Guard
Highly motivated, with good analytical and problem solving skills.
Experience of working in a support environment, clearing incidents and working closely with development and test teams.
Experience of SQL Server installation and configuration, Windows patch management, backup and recovery, cloning, server and code performance tuning, capacity planning, and migrations.
Demonstrable competence in Oracle installation, configuration, monitoring using OEM12c, backup and recovery, high availability, cloning, server and code performance tuning, migrations, partitioning, and security.
Desirable would be:
Automation and process improvement experience would be a bonus
Experience of working in an ITIL environment with excellent client-facing skills
