Purpose of Role:

To write, edit & produce clear communication material for customers and internal colleagues to support WorldPay's Separation Journey which will include

  • Customer Communication and collateral
  • WorldPay Collateral (training Material, FAQ's, Operational Procedures)
  • Executive presentations/updates
  • Roadshow material
  • Face to Face business briefings
  • Website updates

Actively contribute to the ongoing development & implementation of the Communication Strategy and Plan

Develop close liaison with the Business and Technical teams to enable required information to be gathered, understood and translated for the intended audience/s

Develop an understanding of our customer propositions by segment and assess the impact of changing technologies

Work within time-bound constraints to produce material to a high standard, tailored to intended audience

Maintain Communication calendar and implement measures to assess success of communication material

Key Result Areas:

High quality stakeholder/customer focussed material produced within time-bound requirements, tailored to with both internal and external audiences

Proactive planning and development of the Communication Calendar to track delivery

Assess the impacts of new technologies for our customer base and translate these into customer journeys and appropriate communications

In order to delivery the above there will be a need to develop quality relationships with multiple key stakeholders across the business and programme

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

Shape and deliver accurate and concise communication material within required time-scale in-line with the agreed strategy

Develop own templates/communication methodology to enable swift production of communication material

Identify and develop effective relationship's within the Programme and with business area SME's

Become a trusted source for information and reference material/advice

Minute take in meetings and manage internal databases/range of systems (including Customer Relationship Management systems) to ensure information is kept up to date and effectively maintained

Key Internal Relationships:

  • Project Manager's and Product Owners
  • Business & IT subject matter experts.
  • Programme Communication Team

Key External Relationships:

  • Manage (where applicable) external companies that provide communication support

Qualifications:

  • Degree Level or equivalent experience within large communications environment
  • Experience of working within a Matrix environment

Experience of working on large scale Technology change projects

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong ability to communicate in oral and written form under time pressure
  • Ability to take complex, multi-faceted ideas, objectives or problems and work with them through to simple solutions recognising synergies and options and coming up with options
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating a variety of influencing styles to enable effective completion of tasks
  • Shows a desire to take the initiative and proactively takes actions to bring clarity
  • Excellent use of Share point, Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint/Word/Vision/Excel
  • Able to demonstrate a continuous improvement ethos

Knowledge:

INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE - Good understanding of financial services and the electronic payments space. Understanding of industry best practice and trends together with their application within a business context.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE - related to communication tools and techniques which are best in class

Experience:

  • Experience of working in fast paced transformation role (or similar) within communication development and deployment
  • Evidence of producing and delivering communication to a high standard

  • COMMUNICATION - An experienced communicator who can deliver accurate and clear communication material adapted (method/style) to the intended audience within agreed time period, cost and quality requirements
  • CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT - Keep aligned with Programme developments and refine communication material and plan on an on-going basis. Think ahead to proactively plan for future changes and impacts. Demonstrate a flexible attitude
  • ISSUE & RISK RESOLUTION - take steps to understand issues & risks and actively address these, effectively using escalation where necessary
  • DECISION-MAKING RECOMMENDATIONS - Willingly identify and make balanced and sound recommendations to Senior Management and wider team
  • DELIVERY FOCUSSED - Successful completion of tasks and adhering consistently to standards of excellence. Ensuring that all relevant detail has been considered
  • PLANNING AND ORGANISING - Establish a framework to ensure adhernance to internal systems and governance to ensure the ability to adapt plans when appropriate and communicate the rationale for the change
  • TEAM ORIENTATION - Willingness to work with others in a team environment. This includes working towards team goals, participating in decision making, co-operating with others and offering assistance when needed to the wider team
  • ADAPTABILITY - Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment or a change in priorities is required.
