Graduate Finance Analyst - Gas & Power Settlements - Energy Trading

World Leading Global Energy Trading Company has an exciting opportunity for a high calibre and dynamic Graduate Finance Analyst to gain exposure within a fast-paced global environment.

The role is contract, however there is the strong possibility of it becoming permanent. As a permanent role, this would have fast career progression and is an excellent opportunity for a foot in the door' in a global Oil and Gas Company. If the successful candidate is offered the role on a permanent basis, support for accountancy qualifications may be available.

About the Role:

  • Ensure energy payments and invoices are processed accurately
  • Ensure that period end processes are carried out accurately and completed within deadlines
  • Coordinate payment proposal activities, ensuring that payments are processed on a daily basis in accordance with settlement processing rules and procedures
  • Ensure daily tasks are performed in line with service standards and KPI's
  • Maintain effective and appropriate systems and procedures, identifying opportunities for enhancements and ensuring ongoing SOX compliance
  • Strictly adhere to all relevant controls within the team
  • Contribute to process understanding and change pushing the team to look for improvement opportunities, whilst ensuring robust controls
  • Provide assistance to the Trade Accountant role

About You:

  • High calibre graduate (2:1 or above) 
  • Ideally a Finance degree but will consider other similar degrees
  • Get up and go' attitude

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment. You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
