Description
Our client is a Global technology Company with manufacturing operations in Leixlip Co Kildare. They currently seek an Automation Engineer to join their team on a 6 month contract specialising in automation and control solutions, developing and enhancing applications for deployment to a global manufacturing operation.
Responsibilities:
1. Automate manufacturing equipment operation and deliver software control, test and information management solutions to meet customer requirements
2. Develop integrated software solutions between equipment, manufacturing execution systems, manufacturing databases and other critical systems
Experience and knowledge:
* Experience in development of control systems and automation solutions using Allen Bradley PLC's and PC based control systems.
* Strong programming skills (in some of C/C++, VB, .NET, Java)
* Experience of working with software development methodologies/tools
* Experience of developing systems in an object-oriented environment
* Demonstrated knowledge of PC Operating Systems
* Experience/knowledge of requirements of high volume hi-tech manufacturing environment
