Description
We are currently looking for a Senior MPE Research engineer to our Engineering centre (MPE) in Kista to take a lead in several technology studies for our future products. The work will be to perform technology surveys, to scan the ongoing research activities in northern Europe inside research organisations, to identify possible cooperation areas and to drive the Huawei part of the research cooperation projects started. The work will be done in close cooperation with our technology planning team at head office in China.(MPE = mechanical, power and Environmental (thermal) engineering)
Qualifications
You have at least +5 years of experience of research activities and a clear or hands on experience of at least one of our competence areas, i.e. thermal, mechanical and/or power distribution design.
You have good understanding of telecom system design and of conceptual design within the telecom industry.
For this position it is a must that you have a good understanding of the traditional challenges with mechanical design, thermal design and power architecture on system level and also on detailed level.
Understanding of interconnecting solutions/configurations, of EMC and of grounding & lighting protection are also appreciated.
Experience of cooperation projects with Universities, research organisations or small technology start-ups/manufacturing industry is appreciated.
Fluent in Swedish is a must due to the fact that the work will be focused on discussions and cooperation with Swedish research institutions and Swedish universities.
Fluent in English at business level.

Bachelor degree or higher in thermal design, mechanical engineering, physics or similar

Prior experience from international and multicultural work is preferred
The close cooperation with HQ may require traveling to China
