We are currently seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA

Position Responsibilities/ Duties:

We require strong, self motivated and experienced DBA’s to assist in the creating and administration of SQL server 2008R2 databases in Clustered and VM enviornment. Candidates should have a strong background in database administration and be able to demonstrate an interest in a variety of database technologies and desire to grow and develop their career.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • SQL server database administration and configuration
  • Performance monitoring tuning
  • RMAN backup and recovery
  • Database sizing and space management
  • PL/ SQL tuning

Experience and Knowledge requirements:

  • Understanding of SQL server concepts, theories, principles and best practice with 3 or more years in a similar enviornment
  • Srong experience with installing, upgrading and supposting SQL server databases on Windows Physical and Virtual platforms
  • Hands on experience implementing and supporting Windows Clusters
  • Strong TSQL knowledge and experience troubleshooting and tuning code
  • Knowledge of application database privacy practices and laws
  • Experience working in a team orientated, collaborative enviornment
  • Good interpersonal skills and good written and oral communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail and proven analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure enviornment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work on call hours
