Description
GotSoccer is building a team of developers to build and maintain a web based league management and scheduling application for soccer leagues.GotSoccer schedules most major youth soccer tournaments in the US, as well as thousands of individual youth and amateur clubs and leagues for soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, and other sports.
We are currently developing a new scheduling system, building on our experience as the leader in youth soccer. This is a stand-alone platform built on Ruby on Rails, intended to allow administrators to quickly generate league schedules that are optimized for competition and team travel, as well as compliant with league rules and venue availability blackouts or scheduling conflicts. The system will also include a set of tools for referee assignment and team management.
You will need to be brought up to speed on this project quickly as there is already great interest in the product from multiple organizations. We are looking for a programmer who is interested in making a significant contribution to this project by writing creative solutions to challenging problems. Some example tasks will include schedule optimization tools, on-demand reports, and user friendly drag-and-drop editing interfaces.
This is a long term / ongoing project. You will be able to work remotely and a full-time position will be available once the application goes live.
