Subcontract Manager - 6 months - Crawley - Negotiable
Subcontract Manager required to contribute to the profitability/competitiveness of the company. Whilst co-located with a Business Unit or Integrated Project team in order to manage the purchasing requirements, for bids, projects or products to ensure that all purchasing and sub-contract packages are delivered on time, to budget and at the required quality.
Work with the Segment Purchasing organisation to ensure packages are effectively delivered to meet the Business' needs.
Responsibilities:-
* Strategy & Planning
o Develop supply chain architecture to meet needs of BPP
o Work with the Bid/Project team, to develop the Procurement Strategy for the allocated BPP and ensure the strategy is communicated within the Project and Function, ensuring that Project commitments are met.
o Development of the Subcontract Management Plan to identify how the Project procurement strategy would be implemented across the Project, based on a reviewed and modified company Subcontract Management Process that is appropriate for the Project.
o Implementation of the Subcontract Management Process in Chorus
o To play a key role in formulating and implementing the Make/Buy strategy for the Project.
o Effective support to the execution of WinBid
o Play a key role in defining and implementing strategies to meet the offset/industrial participation needs of the BU where appropriate.
o Contribute to Multi Year Budget
Key Experience Required:-
Experience of providing purchasing support to large scale projects
Experience of working with and supporting Bid Teams.
Experience or working in a large aerospace/engineering/defence organisation
Strong stakeholder management
MCIPS and Degree qualified or similar
Acute and mature negotiating skills
