Senior Front End Developer - JavaScript/Jquery/Backbone.js/HTML5/CSS3
Senior Front End Developer with strong JavaScript and experience of responsive/adaptive design and development, is required for a 6 month contract with a leading retail client of a Digital Agency. Any Development lead/team lead experience would be desirable. This role will be split 3 days in London and 2 days in Hertfordshire. They require a Front End Developer who is able to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Responsibilities/Skills:
- Standards compliant XHTML, CSS2 and CSS3, HTML5
Experience of responsive/adaptive design and development - Strong JavaScript & AJAX skills, including OO JavaScript experience
- Exposure to a variety of JavaScript frameworks; Jquery, Backbone and unit testing; Jasmine
- Provide Product requirements input and UI expertise
- Involvement in full development life cycle; design, coding, test, build, QA, deployment and maintenance
- Experience of applying and working with Agile development methodologies and Test driven development
- General web related questions - DOCTYPES, separation of concerns, quirks mode, cross browser development
- HTML - HTML5, Semantics, SEO
- CSS - Responsive, specificity
- JavaScript - OO development, inheritance, prototype, object types, JS performance tweaks and tools
