ABOUT THE POSITION

GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a Mortgage IT Project Manager for a 9M Contract (with possible extensions/possible conversion to Direct-Hire) opportunity in Lewisville, TX. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will identify, develop, and execute projects while managing and controlling the project life cycle process to ensure timely delivery of quality solutions. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will formulate approach in collaboration with Business Partners and Project teams to define, analyze, design, implement and/or support business application/systems. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will design and develops detailed functional systems and program specifications using structured design methodologies. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will work closely with IT Application Development and IT Infrastructure groups to ensure timely delivery of all projects. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will drive the design and development of standard practices and effective communication. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will serve in an on-going partnership with Business Partners to provide resolution to issues with systems or business processes/procedures. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will provide support to Business Partners in analysing specific business initiatives and identifying the appropriate application system solution through integration of processes, systems and information to fulfil business objectives. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will direct the project throughout the life cycle, defining project objectives, aligning project resources to achieve goals and ensuring established timelines are met. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will drive the initial review to identify and gather documental for business and functional requirements. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will maintain an in-depth knowledge of business operations and understands the technical scope and objectives of the project.  The Mortgage IT Project Manager will provide leadership in analysing functional requirements, procedures and problems to automate processing and/or improve systems. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will define detailed description of user needs, program functions and steps required to develop or modify systems. Examples of artifacts from analysts are Business Requirement Documents, Current and Proposed Flow Diagrams. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will follow Software Development Life Cycle policies and procedures. Coordinate with Business Partners, Technical Analysts and Developers to identify and define specifications, indicate areas of system impact and continuously communicate project status and needs. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will develop, analyze and manage project schedules and appropriate project management documentation. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will serve as a subject matter expert for Business Partners throughout the project development life cycle to ensure their needs are addressed. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will provide leadership throughout the project development process to ensure that it meets stated requirements. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will manage change control processes, and ensures program/project communications. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will negotiate project plans, time frames, and trade-off with Business Partners, and apprises management of impact to project. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will develop Technical Requirements Documents. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will execute/validate Test Cases for projects on a pre and post production basis to ensure all requirements are fulfilled. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will coordinate testing of enhancements and develops and provides educational tools and materials. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will plan, allocate and schedule resources, as required. The Mortgage IT Project Manager will assist in development of training for project team members.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of experience in the following skill sets

  • Mortgage IT Project Manager - Mortgage Banking/Loans, etc.
  • Senior-Level Knowledge in Core Competencies - Project Management, Business Analysis, Information Technology/Software Development, Mortgage (Originations, Servicing, Finance, etc.), Basic Technical Writing, Process Flow Documentation, and Strong Communication Skills, etc.
  • Highly skilled in managing all aspects of all sizes and complexities of multiple projects simultaneously across the software development life cycle phases (SDLC).
  • Highly skilled in requirements gathering and can direct other PMBA's in this activity.
  • Directs PMBA's when assigned as project resources.
  • Demonstrated superior competence in soft skills associated with core competencies such as documentation, communication, leadership, facilitation, team management & customer relationships.
