Bank of America Merrill Lynch are looking to recruit an ambitious and talented Treasury Accountant to form part of the EMEA Treasury Finance Team; with the view that the preferred candidate would have the opportunity to grow and develop in this area.

Role responsibilities include:

Key EMEA liaison and subject matter expert for the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) Process across Global Banking and Markets (GBAM) businesses in EMEA
Delivering key project assignments linked to understanding liquidity drivers and cash flow forecasting
Owning the EMEA Treasury Forecast and Planning routines across all key legal entities
Maintaining the Merrill Lynch International (MLI) management incentive programme (an FTP discount scheme to incentivise business into MLI)
Providing monthly management information and financial commentary to the treasury funding desk as well as the LRM team
Driving the new SAP general ledger implementation including reporting and forecasting using the new EPM reporting tool and assisting with the month end close simulations
Reviewing and analysing Treasury financials over month end close, reporting and commenting on key estimate to actual variances
Key liaison for the LRM team, as well as developing and maintaining a close working relationship with the FTP team in the US and liaising with the Business Finance Officer (BFO) teams in EMEA
Producing value add management information to the LRM team and the treasury funding desk and solving ad-hoc queries relating to finance matters

Requirements

A qualified accountant ideally with experience within a Finance/Middle Office area within a large financial services organisation.
A high quality communicator, able to face off to the Treasury funding desk and LRM teams on financial matters, and to be a credible advisor and partner to our Global Treasury Finance function in the US
Highly skilled in Excel communication and ideally familiar with Vision Essbase
Knowledgeable on core Investment Banking product knowledge, and the ability to transfer skill-set to Treasury related product activity (eg FX swaps, bonds, repo/reverse repo, and money market instruments)
