EXPERIENCED Linux ENGINEER French and English Speaking
Our client an international leader is currently looking for a EXPERIENCED Linux ENGINEER French and English Speaking for a long term project based in Europe.
The EXPERIENCED Linux ENGINEER French and English Speaking will have a minimum of 5 years experience in Lotus Note Domino and have to speak English fluently.
The following knowledge will be required:
. Knowledge about all aspects of Linux distributions, and a little knowledge about AIX Power IBM.
. Experience is mandatory - hands-on experience of system management, system setup and managing Linux based Servers as well as configuring them.
. Linux Clustered skills: HP Service Guard Solutions for Linux used, another clustering mode such as Veritas Cluster could be an acceptable alternative.
. Knowing how to operate virtualized VMWare server is also a skill
. Storage technologies like FC, NFS is great, knowledge of backup technologies welcome.
. Shell programming and basic architecture knowledge.
. Knowledge in one of the upper tier Scripting language is a must. Perl, Python, Ruby, PHP.
. Knowledge of Red Hat Satellite, (fork from SpaceWalk), Suse Manager could be an acceptable alternative.
. You need to know the basics management tools like Puppet or Chef
. Skills with system and application monitoring tools like SNMP or Nagios are also important.
. And last but not least, an ITIL Foundation knowledge is welcome.
Production Team - 4 people - period overtime also possible
Long term contract - 1 year is a must - due to project.
In charge of projects and virtualization of Linux Servers farms to VMWare. more or less one hundred physical machines.
English/French: English level
Able to satisfy most work requirements with language that is often, but not always, acceptable and effective
Willingness to learn new technologies
Good communication skills with management, functional and development support teams
Work as part of a team which is responsible for 24x7 support
This is a long term contract based in Europe, Paris, some travels will be maybe required.
For this position the candidate need to speak English. French is a plus but not mandatory.
Any others languages is a plus but not mandatory.
