Systems Management Specialist Position
Duration: 7 months +
Location: Amsterdam Area, Netherlands.
Start Date: 5th May 2014
Rate: € p/day.
Main Tasks:
. Production Support
Solving incidents with limited timeframes and under pressure
BAU - monitoring incident queues and team mail box, etc.
Troubleshooting Windows/Cascade Applications
Implementation (deploying) in PR environment outside the official working hours
. Project Support (TOPS 2020)
Consultancy in TOPS 2020 project 4-2-1 (eg migration applications)
Deployments for testing purposes.
Participation/perform pre production tests
Deliver support during testing (incident solving)
Deployments to a production site
Support during implementation
. Acceptance
Secure operational aspects
Give 'go/no go' advice for implementation
. Second line support during and outside business hours (24/7 stand-by)
Creating/updating maintenance documentation, improving Helpdesk scripts, improving Operator instructions.
Knowledge Maintenance (documentation, providing training)
Technical skills:
- Visual Studio
- Programming languages: one or more of C, C#, VB6
- Microsoft .NET Environment (Windows Forms, ASP.NET, MVC, Web Services)
- Scripting languages (eg Perl, AWK, etc.)
- HTML/XML/CSS/JavaScript/Ajax/jQueryProven UNIX (AIX & Linux)
- Software Development (Windows client, server and web applications) o PRISMA (Peregrine Service Centre)
Other (soft) skills:
- Financial Banking knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, both speaking and writing English
- ITIL concepts
Nice to have skills:
- Multiple years of experiences in a complex (banking) application environment as an application/customer supporter.
- Software Design & Documentation, software Configuration Management/Software Logistic
- and experience in a complex (virtualized) environment
- Testing applications (Multiplatform and/or 'chained' applications)"
