Brook Street are currently working on behalf of our Global IT client to recruit a Staffing Consultant. This is a 9 month maternity cover contract role based in London, however the manager will consider the successful candidate working from the Reading office.

About the role
We're recruiting for an initial 9 month maternity cover role and this is a great opportunity to recruit for the company during a changing & challenging time. The focus of this role is to manage the end to end hiring process for our high profile "guest" employees into the UK. Hiring manager from across the globe recruit into the UK and require specialist support in understanding the local candidate market, recruitment process & legalities. You will be tasked with providing tactical staffing expertise, direction and ensuring the delivery of all FTE requirements are delivered within time and budget. You will also be tasked with managing the relationship with key business stakeholders, HR Managers and outsource partners.

Naturally you will ensure the quality of hires is continuously improved, raising capability and potential of those recruited to meet the business objectives and talent agenda. As well as hiring great people you will lead key resourcing improvement projects contribute to the on-going development of the UK Staffing strategy and of the overall recruitment experience.

What this involves:
* End to end recruitment for high profile (and often senior) stakeholders across the globe, typically in USA and Europe
* Operate as the expert in industry best practices for all functional areas of recruitment
* Provide internal resourcing consultancy service to hiring managers, including the provision of advice on all recruitment issues
* Manage the recruitment process from initial candidate contact to offer ensuring an outstanding candidate experience. Analyse and implement process improvements
* Lead the outsource partner to develop creative and effective sourcing strategies and plans to build pipelines for top candidates across all areas of the organization
* Implement and enforce consistency with our recruiting policies and procedures
* Represent the company at recruiting events such as job fairs and other community events
* Ensure 100% data accuracy of our recruitment database. Track and analyse statistical recruiting data to determine effectiveness of all recruiting activities, including time to hire and cost per hire
* Work to develop the employer brand through advertising, promotion, and community involvement with any recruitment focused local events
* Support, drive and deliver against the UK Staffing diversity plan
* Create and present offer recommendations to hiring managers, extend offers, and manage offer negotiations to all internal and external candidates
* Maintains accurate internal and external candidate data Real Time in staffing systems
* Ensures the key metrics are met including: time to hire, cost and quality of hire metrics
* Understand and follow local employment law in relation to discrimination, contracts and visa/work permits etc.
* Participate in staffing related projects - often leading these projects

What we're looking for in candidates:
This role will suit an experienced recruiter who has previous corporate (in-house) or RPO (onsite) hands-on experience. The variety of roles you will manage will be great so particular industry experience is not required however an interest in technology and previous technology recruitment is a bonus. You will have a strong operational focus, combined with commercial and business acumen, be great at managing priorities and your time effectively - this will be a busy role. You need to be comfortable building relationships with often senior stakeholders within short timescales and then leverage those relationships to influence outcomes. You can't be afraid of pushing back when required. The complexity of these roles will be high and you need to be able to manage ambiguity well. Because many of the hiring mangers you will work with will be overseas, previous international recruitment experience would be beneficial and strong knowledge of UK recruitment law is required. Ultimately though you need to be passionate about implementing creative staffing strategies that benefit the business and candidate alike.

Salary: £50,000 per annum + benefits
