Key Skills required
- OTDR
- ISP
- Chromatic Dispersion
- MS Visio
- Long haul network experience, PMD/CD, BERT testing, leased wave experience
- Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering, or 5 to 10 years of industry experience-
- 3 years experience within a Telecom Network Infrastructure environment
- 2 years experience using Visio or AutoCAD
- EXFO Toolbox
About the role
- Within a lit and dark fibre network, candidates will analyse optical fibre test data deriving from various sources.
- Provide resolutions to optical issues as required.
- Provide thorough guidance in the acceptance of fibre within ISP and OSP.
- Interfacing with vendors to provide re-mediation and prove successes to optical issues.
- Creation and maintenance of related project test data will be required in an active database.
