Content Testing and QA Specialist (XML; XSLT)

My client require a Professional Tester, with experience in content testing to join our large content modelling and XML development team.
The test framework and suite, is desired to support all types of content testing, however the initial project focus will be on an XML to Word transformation pipeline, so familiarity with XSLT and Word 2003 is required.
Responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of a Test Strategy and Test Framework for content transformation pipelines, writing and executing content regression and rendition regression tests and quality assurance.
Creates test suites and performs testing for Content Architects.
Helps to diagnose content and transform failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
Participates in content process and application planning meetings and perform reviews, walkthroughs, or inspections of content.
Documents anomalies and issues identified during testing.
Documents and trains users on testing processes.
Assists the Content Architecture Project Lead and works closely with Content Fabrication, Content Support and Technical development teams
Education/Experience:
University degree in a relevant subject or equivalent education/experience - preferred. Previous experience in legal content and Publishing - preferred.

Skills:

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer support and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a project team and work independently and manage one's time and work.
Strong experience of XSLT 1.0, XSLT 2.0 required.
Good understanding of Word ML (Word 2003), Open Office XML (Word 2007+) required.
Experience of XSpec, XMLUnit, and XML diffing or experience in Unit testing and regression tests in other development platforms - is preferred.
Experience of writing and using Schematron for high level validation - is an advantage
Experience of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban - is an advantage.
Knowledge of physical content modelling and the languages required, namely DTD, W3C Schema Language (XSD) and Relax NG, and their appropriate applications - is an advantage.
Understanding of languages and tools used for processing XML and their appropriate applications, namely Ant and schematron - is an advantage.
Knowledge of XML editorial environments, Oxygen and Arbortext Editor preferred.
Knowledge of online publishing and supporting functionality through mark-up - preferred.
