Integration Tester (Testing)

Contact duration: 6months + (strong possibility of extension)
PROJECT SCOPE/TASKS
The tasks are as follows:
Collaborate with IT and business program support staff in order to develop detailed test plans which include Integration, System, and Customer Acceptance Test to ensure adherence to IEEE and to ensure that documented requirements are met
Align test plan, design and execution with the overall IT Enterprise Quality Assurance methodology, standards, policies, and procedures
Schedule and coordinate batch jobs
Execute test scenarios and scripts, track and document defects; develop and provide test results for review
Collaborate with IT and business program support staff to define and document Level of Effort assessments for testing the my- system
Participate as an active member of the testing team to ensure the solution delivered is tested properly and traceable to the documented requirements
Support and participate in all other test activities as needed and directed
Provide detailed documented technical knowledge transfer to ETO staff on the test planning, preparation, execution activities and processes
Attend and/or facilitate meetings as needed
Provide weekly status reports and inform management of any issues that require escalation
Understand the my solution and technical environments as needed
Utilize the following test tools: HP Application Lifecycle Management, IBM ClearCase, and IBM ClearQuest.
KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER
The Consultant, in the role as a system tester, shall engage in and complete knowledge transfer for the testing processes and activities to the test staff.
The knowledge transfer shall include providing training to test staff and documentation of all necessary and applicable test processes and activities.
This knowledge transfer shall commence at the time test staff are identified and available for this knowledge transfer. The knowledge transfer shall be completed prior to the end of this contract term.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Refer to RFP , Section IV, Vertical 8.0, Release Management/Quality Assurance/Configuration Management, for minimum qualifications required for this engagement.
In addition the following minimum qualifications are required:
A strong background, knowledge and experience in technical testing of highly complex systems
3 to 5 years of experience supporting the planning, preparation and execution of test activities
3 to 5 years of experience transmitting data using standard messaging protocols (ie Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) over Hypertext Transfer Protocol, Secure (HTTPS) and Web Services Definition Language (WSDL), and flat files via Middleware technology (ie JCAPS).
Over 3 years working cooperatively with the business and IT professionals, gaining trust of team members and customers, and communicating clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
3 to 5 years of experience managing/coordinating test activities for a complex, large scale enterprise application.
Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.

Recent experience testing web based applications that utilize current web technologies such as Java or ASP.NET
