Expense Analyst required by leading Financial Services organisation in Croydon for Maternity cover with three years relevant work experience in a large commrercial organisation (Ideally Financial Services) and is over half way through ACCA/ACMA exams.

The Expense Analyst will be responsible for: 

- Business partnering with many Europe HQ functions to ensure that effective cost control is maintained and that we provide good quality management information to our internal customers.
- Ensuring that all month end tasks assigned are completed as per the monthly close calender.
- Preparation of journals into the SAP system as and when required from the business/Finance management.
- Preparation of VAT return quarterly.
- Production of monthly reporting on headcount, professional fees and accruals as per the HQ and FP&A templates set.
- Assistance in the preparation of closing documents monthly for handover to the FP&A teams.
- Sending out cost information to the Strategic programme managers each month and meeting each month to assist with budgets, forecasts, expense control etc.
- Preparing cost information from the ledger to load into the FP&A Cognos system monthly.
- Reviewing HQ recharges monthly.
- Calculation of Engineering fees allocations across EMEA monthly.
- Dealing with queries and providing adhoc data to stakeholders - FP&A, Transfer pricing team, VAT team, Europe staff.

Due to the nature of the role, the Expense Analyst should have strong excel skills and a track record of dealing with senior management as a business partner. Also strong communications kills will be required both e-mail and face to face meetings.
