Senior Java Developer

Main Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Act as technical lead of a development team working on an existing product (written in Ruby and Java).
- Take responsibility for developing new components
- Implement, test, and bug-fix functionality
- Produce reasonable estimates for tasks and meeting project schedules
- Deploy and provide support to the latest releases of software
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience
- Third level degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent
- Experience with developing a commercial software product
- Experience working in a Linux environment
- Experience with distributed version control systems (Mercurial/Git)
Required Skills:
- Highly Proficient in Java
- Knowledge of Spring framework (must have spring Batch)
- Knowledge of MySQL or other relational database
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Advantageous but not expected:
- Experience working in product development in a software product or SaaS company is strongly preferred
- Database development (SQL, JDBC) would be useful but is not necessary
- Web Development including Javascript would be useful but is not necessary
- Experience with Talend would be useful but is not expected
