DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
The tasks that are to be performed include (beyond the ones mentioned in the FRM):
- Analysis of user requirements, design, data analysis and Datamodelling;
- Writing/Testing/Maintenance of web applications;
- Integration of applications with other applications and databases;
- Configuration management & source management of developed objects;
- Assistance with training the administrators and users of the system;
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system;
- Produce and/or update technical documentation in English;
- Provision of technical assistance to other team members;
- Participation in meetings with users;
- Assist key users in English or French;
Languages and development tools:
- ColdFusion 8/9 (incl. Fusebox framework);
- JavaScript; jQuery; AJAX;
- Oracle 10g/11g (incl. PL/SQL);
- XML and XPath;
- MSOffice 2003; MSOffice 2010;
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant experience with Javascript, jQuery and AJAX is an advantage;
- Knowledge in the use of RUP and UML is an asset.
- Fluent in either FR or EN and working knowledge of the other;
- Quick learning ability is required as well as teamwork spirit and ability to
integrate in a multilingual and multicultural environment
- Knowledge of DG EAC programmes is an advantage;
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- In depth experience with the creation of web interfaces using ColdFusion;
- Relevant experience of XML and XPath;
- Relevant experience with Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL;
