The role: Quality technician in the logistics department
Duration: 6 months
Location: Desford, Leicester
A quality technician is required to join the quality function in the logistics department of a leading diesel engine manufacturer. Main duties will be assisting in the approval of in excess of 9000 additional parts into the business over the course of the coming months, analysing and reporting and communicating any issues found.
This role will be customer facing solving technical queries regarding first off inspection which is performed by an on-site subcontract team.
Preferred skills and experiences:
*Knowledge of quality measurement eg. Dimensional,Geometric or metallurgical
*Excellent customer service and conversational skills
*Material flow management
*Experience with production systems and metrics.
