Description
A Model Design Engineer is required by global leading semiconductor organisation on a long term contract basis. These systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power an array of electronic, communications and IT products. The successful candidate will have a chance to work in the Industrial Engineering Sector, with state of the art technology and work alongside world-class engineers. The department is working on an exciting project to optimise the performance of the next generation of semiconductor products.The Model Design Engineer will contribute to the development of products by designing, creating, integrating and testing solutions to improve the functionality, within the restrictions imposed by system specifications, costs and planning considerations.
Job Description
Responsibilities of Model Design Engineer:
• Participate in the definition of system level specification of functionality, performance, costs and reliability.
• Perform feasibility studies into required improvements, by means of experiments, simulation and analysis of existing (customer) data.
• Design the functional specifications and required algorithms.
• Support the realisation by giving input supporting SW designers in the project team.
• Integrate and test the function against the specification.
• Troubleshoot on issues within our factory or at customer sites
• Support sustaining activities.
Experience
• Master/PhD in Physics or Applied Mathematics with a strong affinity with Physics.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with functional specification and integration (data analysis using Matlab, modelling, defining functional specifications).
• You are experienced with design of algorithms and functional models.
