A number of exciting opportunities have arisen to work within the newly created FICC Derivative Control team of My client Bank of America Merrill Lynch initially on a 3 month contract.

This team will fall under the Cross product Derivative Operations group in Chester working closely with Settlement, Middle Office trade support and P&L teams, across a variety of products including Credit, Rates, FX and collateral.

The control team will be responsible for performing a variety of daily and monthly general ledger and portfolio control activities across Global Markets group and Corporate Investments/Corporate Treasury.

Essential
* Qualified accountant or Accounting, Economics or a Financial or Quantitative degree
* Effective communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail and time management
* Strong technical skills including experience using MS Excel and Access. Experience handling large amount of data preferred
* Self starter - works on own initiative
* Organised, detail oriented & skilled in handling multiple priorities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Results orientated
* Candidate must be comfortable interfacing with various groups at all levels, including Middle Office, Technology teams and Operations. Soft skills include assertiveness, influencing and diplomacy skills. Demonstrated ability to present viable solutions and obtain buy-in, and be able to understand and manage the sensitivities of multiple stakeholders
* Self-motivated. Demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

Desirable
* Experience with trading products in capital markets preferred
* Project management skills
