Role Purpose
The purpose of the Engineering PM role is to manage projects in the Networks area as well as liaise with Commercial and other technical team to track and oversee the deployment of feature products and services into the network, such as Small Cells as an example. This role will be varied in its scope and will demand an individual capable of handling a number of projects with varying priorities and work load.
Essence of Role - Key Accountabilities
- Management of small to medium projects in the Networks area (with a potential for big projects in the near future)
- Stakeholder management to ensure delivery on time
- Technical/Commercial Liaison
- Enterprise level communications and business engagement
- Potential financial alignment and tracking as well as SCM ordering and tracking.
Technical/Professional Expertise

- > 10 years Project Management Experience
- Some technical Mobile experience and >5 years of PMing in that area or at least a technical one
- Excellent stakeholder management to ensure delivery on time (someone who can really chase, follow-up, consider all dependencies, mitigate risks)
- Ability to manage an environment with a number of projects with varying workload
- Good Communication Skills
- Radio Engineering Experience
- Financial Management and tracking Capabilities. SCM ordering and tracking.

Some examples of projects the PM could be working on:
- Small cells programme delivery (femto, WiFi, lead cross-functional team)
- Manage trials for the introduction of new network services as well as new hardware
- Track the new site programme as well as dual carrier upgrade programme
- Delivery of improved coverage for Strategic, PR and VIP events
- SW upgrades for some network nodes
- Help manage the temp events coverage
- Some interaction on network info requirements to the Consumer and Enterprise areas
