Position Title: Enterprise Solution Architect

Location: West Sacramento, CA 95605

Position type: w2/C2C/1099

Contact duration: Initial 2 year contract with potential for up to 5 years

*Provide a description of the overall project or initiative that this role is a part of:

The Enterprise Solution Architect (Contractor), with knowledge of Pension, Financial, and Architecture Processes, is responsible for ensuring that business vision, strategy and relevant technology trends are expressed processes and systems. The Contractor will work to create and maintain the business, information and technology architectures through development and refinement of Enterprise Architecture (EA) processes, participation on Business Renew programs/projects, architecture teams and general communication with the organization. The development and maintenance of a consistent, shared, reusable architecture allows obtain the optimum value for expenditures made in technology.

  • The Contractor is responsible for ensuring that applications align with the organizations growth strategy and are nimble enough to meet those needs effectively.
  • The Contractor will assist with Business Renew Projects by being involved in the development and review of the architecture components and integration contained within strategic plan.
  • The Contractor will report directly to a member of the Business Renew Management Team, or designee, and may be assigned to one or more teams/programs/projects during the total services period.

Some  SAP and Mainframe background are preferred.

As of final date of submission, the Proposed Personnel must have at least five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years providing architecture guidance and/or support for a Pension, Financial, or similar type organization which will be evidenced by the Proposed Personnel Resume and Attachment II, Proposed Personnel Skill Summary.

b. As of final date of submission, the Proposed Personnel must have at least five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years providing complex data analysis for a Pension, Financial, or similar type organization which will be evidenced by the Proposed Personnel Resume and Attachment II, Proposed Personnel Skill Summary.

c. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook which will be evidenced by the Proposed Personnel Resume and Attachment II, Proposed Personnel Skill Summary.

It is highly desirable for the Proposed Personnel to have the following experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

Qualifications will be evidenced by the Proposed Personnel Resume and Attachment II, Proposed Personnel Skill Summary:

a. Extensive experience within the last seven (7) years providing architecture guidance and/or support for a Pension, Financial or similar type of organization.

b. Extensive experience within the last seven (7) years providing data analysis for a Pension, Financial or similar type of organization.

c. Demonstrated experience within the last ten (10) years working with system functionality, architecture, data structures, data relationships, and processing and interfaces in a custom-built Natural/ADABAS system for a Pension, Financial, or similar type organization.

d. Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the last seven (7) years working with Enterprise Architecture methodologies and demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging technologies and best practices.

e. Demonstrates sound analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail and ability to logically approach a problem and document the findings.

f. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork, leadership, facilitation and negotiation.

g. Ability to organize material, analyze a wide variety of facts and develop appropriate recommendations.

h. Ability to estimate the financial impact of enterprise solution architecture alternatives.
