Key tasks and deliverables
1. Ensure that the 60 PPRS companies required to make audited annual returns set up tripartite audit engagements between the company, their statutory auditor and the Department and that these audit engagements comply with the PPRS requirements;
2. Review the audit plans for the audited annual returns, identify and follow up any issues and provide assurance that the plans are robust.
3. Review the audit reports accompanying the audited annual returns, identify and follow up any issues and provide assurance that the reports are satisfactory.
4. Review the financial systems for the Essential Medicines Buffer Stock (EMBS), both for the current system and the planned procurement. Make recommendations and support implementation of improvements

Experience Required
Professional - Can present complex financial information clearly both verbally and in writing to support organisational decision-making.
Collaborating and partnering - the post holder will need to work with internal and external contacts from a wide range of disciplines, including pharmacy, analysis and accountancy.
