3-MONTH CONTRACT POSITION

Job Title:  Senior Strategic Planning Consultant

Location:  Denver, CO  80247

Client:  One of the country's largest health care and health plan providers

Position Description:

  • Consultant with process flow and process improvement experience in health care setting

Purpose of Position:

  • To partner with Operations Department, leaders, and staff to review exam room utilization, to understand drivers of utilization, to brainstorm alternatives to improve utilization, to test and implement changes

Top Daily Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with physicians and staff at all levels of the organization, at many primary care facilities, to identify problems, brainstorm solutions, test alternatives, and implement changes in providing outpatient visits

Minimum Requirements (Must Have):

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Health Care Economics, Statistics (with a quantitative emphasis)
  • 7+ years' experience analysing, modelling, and forecasting financial and operational data
    • including a thorough understanding of financial statement construction and analysis
    • to include 5+ years of experience in consulting, project management
  • Prior health care experience
    • preferably in outpatient operations - process, flows, process improvement
  • Strong statistical analysis; ability to manipulate data and discover solutions
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced skill in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills (listening, speaking, and written), ability to engage diverse groups in joint decision making and implementation
  • Demonstrable experience in preparing presentations to financial and business leaders including Senior Management
  • Able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and to effectively work in a fast past environment
  • Ability to juggle several separate work streams, while maintaining overall schedule
  • Strong team player, experience working collaboratively as part of a team

Preferences (Nice to Have):

  • Master's degree
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Prior experience in directly working with and supporting senior executives
