Our client based in Berkshire are looking for a Design Engineer to join them on a 12 month contract to provide the delivery of specialist (Availability, Reliability, Maintainability) ARM assessments and maintenance strategies to underpin the Operational Model and to support the delivery of major Capital Projects

Responsibilities:
*To ensure understanding and application of all responsibilities with regard to the Company's Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards
*Development of ARM Plans and an ARM Strategy to meet Project requirements
*Development and Management of ARM Requirements within the DOORS Database
*Completion of FMECA Assessments to support project deliverables
*Development of Maintainability and Maintenance strategies in conjunction with the Engineering Team and the Facility Management Team
*Undertake a range of ARM Modelling tasks including Availability and Reliability apportionment and quantitative risk assessment.
*Assisting the Requirements Team in Verification and Validation activities
*Provide guidance on a range of ARM issues to the Building Services Contractor and the Suppliers of P, P and E equipment

Qualifications:
*Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (or relevant equivalent experience)

Knowledge:
*Detailed technical knowledge of ARM Modelling tools including prediction modelling, static modelling and Monte Carlo simulation modelling
*Awareness of contractual relationships with suppliers and contractors
*Knowledge of ARM processes through all phases of site works, especially Commissioning, Setting to Work and Handover procedures

Experience:
*Previous experience of managing specialist ARM work packages
*Strong background in requirements and system engineering
*Experience of project development, construction and installation works
*Experience of communicating with building services contractors and suppliers of specialist machine tools to elicit specific ARM data

Skills:
*Good IT skills including use of office, DOORS databases and business applications
*Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to communicate complex technical information in a concise manner
*De-conflicting relationships to identify the most effective solution to challenging problems
