QA Tech Support

Performs structured quality assurance testing of locally developed applications
Implements code changes, fixes, and application enhancements using structured implementation procedures
Analyzes business and operational issues, identifying root causes, and driving to resolution
Query SQL databases using T-SQL, analysing and reporting results
Documents workflows, procedures, and common resolutions
Maintains published knowledgebase of business and operations documents
Analyzes helpdesk trends and creates/maintains/publishes custom report on variety of issues across several helpdesk systems
Guides users through issue resolution and assist with user training
Creates and publishes flowcharts.

May also be asked to perform software installations/upgrades, manage security applications, manage data backups, respond to alerts generated by enterprise monitoring solution, and configure systems and applications.

Required Skills:

  • Experience performing structured quality assurance applications testing
  • Experience with structured code implementation
  • Expert knowledge using Microsoft Office 2010, including Word, Excel, and Visio
  • Working knowledge of T-SQL, especially querying databases
  • Ability to effectively document business and technical procedures
  • Demonstrate superlative written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, personally resourceful, and with a passion for learning.
  • Education Associate or Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field and at least three years related experience.

Preferred skills:

  • Working knowledge of networking technologies and Windows; basic knowledge of TCP/IP.
  • Software coding experience
  • Major technology certifications
  • Experience with SNMP monitoring tools
  • Experience using encryption technologies and techniques
